Instruction at Serg BJJ and Fitness focuses on the fundamental elements of jiu jitsu with emphasis placed on both self defense and sport.

Serg Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Fitness offers classes for beginners and experienced students. Our Fundamental classes have students that may be attending their first class learning alongside students with years of experience in a positive environment. Attention is placed on learning basic technique and self defense for new students and refinement for experienced students. No experience needed to attend and even advanced practitioners can progress. New students will see improvement in cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility and coordination with consistent training. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an excellent way to lose weight and stay in shape while learning the most effective form of self defense.

All students must have proficiency in the positional and technical components of jiu jitsu to attend our Competition classes. Though priority is placed on efficiency and simplicity the techniques and positions can be complex. Competition classes focus on the sport aspect of jiu jitsu with considerable class time dedicated to open sparring.
